Thank you for visiting my book page!

If you’re reading this chances are you know me or have met me at some point...but if not, welcome!

My name is Sparky Rose (that's my picture up there) and I’ve been through quite a bit in my 39 years of playing the sport commonly referred to as “life.” Up until recently, I was the very special guest of the United States Federal Government for nearly two years for my work in the now mainstream and rapidly expanding medical cannabis industry. I used to operate a little company called Compassionate Caregivers based out of Oakland, CA that left a veritable wake of medical cannabis dispensaries in its path. “Conviction” is my story...but storytelling isn’t cheap and since the Fed seized all of my money, I’m asking those interested in my story to help me finish it by sponsoring the book.

Much like your local public radio station, you won’t walk away empty handed. I’m handing out gifts. So please take a look at the sponsorship options and help me get this story out!

It should be noted that it will likely be at least a year before the final book is published. All donors will receive periodic updates including sample pages every now and then so you can see some of the progress as this project moves along. Please donate and please tell your friends!

Thanks again!!!

About "Conviction"

Sparky Rose was one of the pioneers of California’s medical marijuana movement, who helped build a state-wide chain of hugely successful dispensaries that complied with state law and cooperated with local municipalities and law enforcement … until the George W Bush Department of Justice busted him and sent him to federal prison for two years. Conviction [working title] tells Sparky’s story of how a graphic artist and Internet entrepreneur became a leading player in the country’s biggest social experiment since Prohibition, how he built the “Walmart of weed”, how the medical marijuana business really functions … and how the justice systems gets jammed up with thousands of non-dangerous pot fans.
